Doing a new thing

There were two scriptures the Lord brought to mind for our Celebration National Conference this year. We had been praying for months for His plan for this event to come. In looking at our registrations, we saw that the Lord was bringing women from the east, west, north and south to Conference (Psalm 107:2-4). We had dear sisters in Christ from the west…California, from the east…Virginia, from the north…Oklahoma, and, of course, from the south…Texas.

On Sunday, the final day of the Conference, the passage Isaiah 43:19 was confirmed, “Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it. I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” We all sensed that new things were happening for the ministry. Here are some of the exciting new things He is doing.

Rev. Sharma Lewis, our speaker at the Conference, is a District Superintendent in the North Georgia Conference. She is going to introduce the ministry in Georgia. Gertha and Nicole Benson plan to start Celebration in their church in Los Angeles. Stacey Elsasser is on assignment to start Celebration in Phoenix, AZ, and Carolyn Newsom in Lake Charles, LA. In Texas, we are seeing chapters being energized and re-ignited to minister to all women.

Yes, God is doing a new thing with Celebration, but our foundational scripture, Luke 4:18-19, is still the guiding light to our ministry path. Our three-fold focus of Salvation, Healing and Equipping for Women’s lives continues to be our purpose. Through this ministry, He is making a road in the wilderness to lead women to Him. Rivers of living water will be flowing in the dry, desert places of women’s hearts who are thirsty for the reality of the living God who cares for them. Thank you Jesus is our response to His new thing!

Love, Judy
