Psalm 118:24 reads, “This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (ESV) Every year at National Conference I am amazed at how much God reveals to us both collectively and individually.

This year there were ladies and youth who came with brokenness and left renewed and healed. Jesus seeped into our hearts and filled in the cracks with the power to forgive and be forgiven.  The Holy Spirit showed up in a mighty fashion and reminded us of who’s our Daddy and there is comfort knowing exactly where to find our refuge!

We are truly celebrating!

On the Worship Equipping Session…

We had an intimate time of worshipping the Lord together and discovering what worship is, what it isn’t and what it should be. Worship is a time to usher in the presence of the Lord, to set our focus on Him, and to send the enemy running! We learned that worship is not a concert, boring, or dependent on our external circumstances. We can draw close to the Lord in times of worship by having a repentant heart, cultivating a practice of worship and intimately knowing our Savior!

On the Leadership Equipping Session…

God is so good! In the leadership equipping session we discussed how God equips each of us to be spiritual leaders, how we ensure that our priorities fulfill God’s purposes for our lives, and how having a teachable spirit ensures that we are open to His plan for us. With obedience and boldness, we know that we are covered under His feathers and may confidently share our passion for Jesus with others.

On the Prayer Equipping Session…

“For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.” 1 Timothy 4:4-5   In this session, we explored how the word of God serves as the primary resource for focusing our prayer. A brainstorming session produced scripture, music, print and digital resources for focusing our prayer lives. The equipping session culminated with participants making prayer bead chains based on the book, A Bead and a Prayer by Kristen E. Vincent.
